OUR PROTOTYPE DEPARTMENT.

The prototypist figure is one of the most important in the early stages of the development of the collection.

The prototypist is the professional figure who takes care of making one or more prototypes, that is a sample garment that is cut and sewn realizing what the pattern maker has designed, all this with great competence and patience.

PROTOTYPE MAKING

Our seamstresses take the directives of the pattern makers but they do not make a trial garment, such as a canvas prototype , but a garment that has the same characteristics as what will be produced if the stylist and pattern maker approve the garment. The purpose is to evaluate all aspects concerning the dress such as the type of fabric, the general idea of the model, costs, wearability, etc.

FITTING

Our dressmakers not only deal with creating the prototype to be submitted to the judgment of the stylist and pattern maker, but also have the task of indicating which types of work are most suitable for production and take note  in the fittings  to then make the garment again, with the changes made.
